Teach Children to Save

Teach Children to Save

There's no better time than now to introduce your children to the lifelong skill of saving money. Early exposure to healthy saving habits sets the stage for their financial success in the future. As parents, guardians, and educators, it's our responsibility to arm our children with the knowledge and tools they need to make sound financial decisions.

That's why we're excited to offer our Teach Children to Save program. Designed to help parents, teachers, and students to help kickstart their savings journey. Whether you're a parent looking to teach your child about the value of money, a teacher seeking classroom resources, or a student eager to learn about financial literacy, we've got you covered.

How our program works:

  1. Use our free material below to help teach children of all ages the value of saving money.
  2. After working through our free material, download and print the Completion Certificate below to turn in at any of our branches. (No printer? No problem! We have printed packets and certificates at our branches!)
  3. The Certificate may be redeemed for children (ages 0-17) as a deposit up to $20 into a new or existing savings account*

Our free materials are a treasure trove of financial knowledge, covering a wide range of topics from the basics of saving to the intricacies of budgeting and beyond. Packed with interactive lessons and invaluable tips, our resources transform the often-dry subject of money into a fun and accessible learning experience for children of all ages.

At San Luis Valley Federal Bank, we're committed to your success and the success of our community. Don't wait until it's too late—start teaching your children to save today and give them the gift of financial empowerment.

Together, let's teach our children to save and create learning, growth, and financial empowerment for our children!
